Avoid SPAM With Disposable Inbox

There are so many new web applications today. Some with good intention while others have bad behavior. Things like email harvest, etc. How do we avoid this? Easy, there are services out there that act as temporary inbox which help us register to new services and applications.

How this work? First, we look up the net for some disposable e-mail address service. For example, disposable inbox or spamfree24. Next, we create new temporary inbox with these services. Then, use the email address we’ve just created to register to sites we like. Simple!

However, there’s a problem with these kind of services. The lifespan of the temporary email is too fast. Most of this services only have 15 minutes lifespan. If we don’t renew it, it will be destroyed. Fortunately, there is another service called otherinbox that doesn’t have this limitation. This services even allow us to create multiple inbox from one login. This help us determine if the services we registered is spammy or not. If the services seems good, we can move the account to our original mail address, it not, well, we could just delete that particular inbox we used to register.

  • hahaha, nice one there, spamming my comment with your own product on a related entry!
anyway, you missed the point that I DON'T LIKE SUCH PRODUCT. Because it has limited lifespan. I'm FORCED to hit extend my inbox please. While on otherinbox.com, I don't have to do that.
  • Good tips on disposable email! I personally use http://spamevader.com - they give you instant disposable inbox with no login or registration required. Simple and fast.
